inorganic binder

High temperature resistant inorganic binder is a new type of adhesive. It can withstand high temperature and low temperature resistance, low cost, not easy to aging, simple structure and high adhesion. Typical organic adhesives can withstand temperatures up to 100 ° C. For example, the latex is below 60 ° C, the epoxy resin is around 100 ° C, and the phenolic resin is around 220 ° C. The inorganic adhesive can withstand high temperatures of 600-900 ° C, and after improving the composition, it can reach above 1800 ° C. Someone who has bonded with an inorganic adhesive has been immersed in liquid oxygen at -186 ° C, and the bonding effect has not changed. There is a copper phosphate phosphor, the main components are aluminum phosphate solution and copper oxide powder. When the glue is applied, the surface becomes rough and staggered, which makes the article's tensile strength 3-5 times higher than that of the flat object. Inorganic adhesives are used for the bonding of rockets, spacecraft parts, the bonding of cryogenic surgical instruments, the bonding of automobile ship engines, the bonding and repair of oxygen machine parts.

Physical and chemical properties:
According to chemical composition, inorganic adhesives include silicates, phosphates, oxides, sulfates and borates.
According to the curing mechanism, it can be generally divided into the following four categories.
(1) Air drying type Curing depending on the solvent volatilization or loss of moisture, such as water glass, clay, and the like.
(2) Water-curing type Water is used as a curing agent, and water is added to generate a chemical reaction to cure, such as gypsum, cement, and the like.
(3) Hot-melt type Inorganic hot-melt adhesive, first heated to above the melting point, then bonded, cooled and solidified, such as low melting point metal, low melting point glass, glass ceramic, sulfur and so on.
(4) Chemical reaction type Curing by a chemical reaction other than adding a curing agent other than water, such as silicates, phosphates, colloidal alumina, dental cement, and the like.
The high temperature resistant inorganic binder has the following characteristics:
1) High temperature resistance and low temperature resistance. The inorganic adhesive itself can withstand temperatures of about 1000 °C or higher. The modified inorganic rubber can withstand high temperatures of 1800 °C.
2) It is usually water-soluble, has low toxicity, does not burn, and has no environmental pollution.
3) The coefficient of thermal expansion is small, only 1/10 of steel and 1/3 of ceramic.
4) Oil resistant, radiation resistant, non-aging, and durable. However, it is not resistant to acid and alkali corrosion, water resistance is poor, brittleness is high, and it is not resistant to impact.
5) It can be cured at room temperature, basically does not shrink, and some slightly expands.
6) The joint strength of the socket and groove joint is high, and it is not suitable for flat connection. The tensile shear strength of the sleeve is greater than 100 MPa.
7) Most of the inorganic glue is a paste made of a mixture of solid and liquid. The raw materials are easy to obtain, the price is low, and the use is convenient.

inorganic binder use
(1) Used for bonding materials, especially materials in high temperature environments, such as tools, high temperature furnace internal parts and accessories, quartz vessels, ceramic refractories, insulating materials, high temperature electrical components, graphite materials, lamp holders, rockets Heat-resistant parts in missiles, aircraft, aerospace, nuclear reactors, etc. Inorganic adhesives are used for the bonding of metal materials and inorganic materials, and can achieve the purpose of material saving, energy saving, and simplification of processes.
(2) Sealing and filling, such as heating tube head, electric resistance wire embedding, thermocouple end sealing, electrical component insulation sealing, quartz furnace and reverberating furnace end sealing, high temperature furnace pipe sealing, etc.
(3) Impregnation and plugging, such as filling micro-pores in pressed aluminum alloy, copper alloy, cast iron and other non-ferrous alloy castings to improve the quality of castings.
(4) Coatings, such as heat-resistant fire-retardant coatings for flammable materials (wood, paper, cloth), metal surface anti-oxidation coatings, far-infrared high-temperature coatings, protective coatings for heat treatment, high-temperature molding release coatings Layer and conductive, heat transfer or insulating coating.
(5) Manufacturing profiles for high temperature use, such as refractory fiber laminates, refractory ceramic plates, and the like.
